ASANDRA, a visionary abstract painter, is originally from New York where she studied at Parsons School of Design and The School of Visual Arts. In 1990, she had her first solo exhibit in New York at Zohra Gallery, NYC. Asandra moved to Miami, Florida, in 1991, exhibiting extensively over the following 19 years. She is an Alumnus of the Oolite Arts Center, Miami Beach and was included in the groundbreaking book, Miami Contemporary Artists (Schiffer Publishing Ltd, 2007) documenting 100 top influential artists of the new creative renaissance in South Florida.


In 2011 her book, Contact Your Spirit Guides, was published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd. Included in the book are a series of 24 Guidance Cards that Asandra designed using her unique iconic imagery. From 2011 to 2019, Asandra lived in California, showing her art in galleries, museums and exhibition spaces. She was represented by Gallery 525 in Ojai, CA as well as WallspaceLA in Los Angeles, CA. From 2012 – 2015, Asandra was a member of both, Inkspots, a printmakers collective based in Ventura, CA and Santa Barbara Printmakers. During that time, she produced one-of-a-kind monoprints and photopolymer etchings.


Her work is in the collection of Marriott, and Renaissance Hotels, and The Omni Int’l Resort and Spa, Orlando; FL. Exhibitions include the Fort Lauderdale Art Museum, FL, Andrews Art Museum, NC, The Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum, and Channing Peak Gallery, Santa Barbara, CA. She was featured in the Spring/Summer 2018 issue of Carpinteria Magazine and received an Honorable mention from the Carpinteria Arts Center for her work in The Peak Summer exhibition, 2019. Two of her paintings were accepted into Inspired by at The Coral Springs Museum of Art, 2020, where she was awarded with a 2nd Place award.



Asandra’s dynamic and colorful paintings can be found in collections world-wide. She currently resides in South Florida.
